So glad to make it back in for the lunch hour, whether at noon or after dark the service is always top shelf here. We were all craving one of their delicious soups on a rare chilly day around here, and the onion soup and lobster bisque were both spot on. They have a well rounded and not too large menu which I prefer, and their quality of ingredients and presentation are on par w the price point. I want to try their Coq Au Vin next time to see how it compares to our family recipe... i saw it on another table and it looked great. Love the high ceilings and the not too big dining spaces for the more intimate feel at night, and not too noisy room for a classy business meal at noontime. Explore and enjoy!

The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the level of culinary excellence and service you receive. Over the past ten years, I’ve returned many times for anniversaries and birthdays, and I’ve never once been disappointed. The hospitality is second to none, thanks especially to Ronnie, who has been a consistently warm and professional head waiter—like a friend welcoming you home. The entire staff, from the servers to the busboys, contributes to an experience that feels both elegant and personal. This was my first time at Etoile Cuisine and Bar, and I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was incredibly professional and polite, making me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in. I decided to try their brunch menu, and it was an absolute delight. The dishes were not only exceptionally tasty but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The ambiance of the restaurant was truly delightful, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely brunch. I highly recommend Etoile Cuisine and Bar for brunch. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. I can't wait to return to try their lunch and dinner offerings.

This was our second or third time dining here. The restaurant is narrow but deep with a main room, a separate smaller area, and a wine room. The food is French, the main server/Manager is French and it all adds up to a delightful experience. We ate Escargot, short ribs of beef, sole, and Apple Tart and cheese plate desserts. The only negative is the noise level. It gets loud. 5.5/5 Syds (.5 deduction for noise) one of the best food options in Houston. #howmanysyds

Parking in this center is impossible; valet is a given. The restaurant itself has nice, intimate ambiance. The staff was very friendly and quickly prepared our table for us. We made a modification to increase the party size from 2 to 3 on the day of during a very busy Valentine’s weekend, so I’m happy they worked that out for us. The food is generously portioned and delicious. The offmenu special item lamb rack is very memorable... Escargot and tartare de bœuf as appetizers were great!! All other entrees were good, but I think the lamb I had was the best.

Etoile et Bar in Uptown Park is easily my top choice for French dining in Houston. For the past 10 years, I’ve made it a point to visit during Houston Restaurant Months, and they’ve never let me down. The food is consistently fresh, creatively displayed, and comes in generous portions. Their Houston Restaurant Month menu stands out for its consistency and value, particularly the incredible deal where you can add a fantastic dessert for just four dollars during lunch—a steal that’s hard to find elsewhere in Houston. One of the highlights for me is their beef tartare, which I order regularly. Occasionally, the fish can be slightly dry, but it’s a minor issue in the grand scheme of their offerings. Desserts are a must-have, whether during Restaurant Months or any other time. The regular menu is equally impressive, with the duck being a standout. The wine list and appetizers offer so many amazing options that it’s hard to choose just one to mention. Whether you’re there for lunch or dinner, Etoile et Bar consistently delivers fresh, flavorful food in great portions, catering to all ages. It’s a place I highly recommend, and knowing that they also donate to the Houston Food Bank makes the experience even more rewarding.

Great french restaurant. White cloth and nice french inspired interior design. Staff is very attentive - no wait time for any request. Food was overall good. I gotta say that it doesn’t compare to authentic local food in Paris - mainly because the ingredients in europe taste different. Don’t expect fully authentic taste and flavors. Bisque lobster was my favorite. Risotto with shrimp, duck confit and french onion soup all tasted good. Can recommend for a lunch / dinner date.

But Etoile Cuisine and Bar in Houston is a refreshing exception! Owned by a true Frenchman, this restaurant delivers authentic, high-quality French cuisine at a reasonable price. The flavors are spot on, and the portions are just right—not too much, not too little. It’s clear that every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. Finally, a French restaurant that offers an authentic experience without just using the French label as an excuse for inflated prices. Totally worth it—I’ll definitely be returning!
